On the whole, this is an excellent handbag for traveling. It is large enough to carry essentials for trips but small enough that I don\'t have to check it at Art Museums. I like the pocket arrangement. On the outside I can put my cell phone and glasses case. On the inside there are two roomy zippered pockets and an small open pocket with a velcro strap where I put medication. There are three pen slots at one end. At the other end there is a small open pocket that would fit a few lipsticks or other small things. There are five credit card slots that each can hold multiple cards. It is a little difficult to see the credit cards inside the purse so I put the essential ones at the top. I can either fit a paperback book or my large camera but not both. A small camera would probably fit with a book but I have a digital camera with removable lenses that measures about 6 inches by 5 inches. For added protection, there is a latch on the strap that can be used to lock the external zipper shut. The latch goes through a loop and hooks onto the zipper pull making it hard to unlock the zipper. The style is a little more casual than I would like but for travel and shopping it\'s great.
